The Duncan House is located in the heart of central Kentucky's Bluegrass Region, just minutes from downtown Lexington. The rolling countryside is known for its beautiful thoroughbred horse farms and idyllic scenes. This beautiful region offers many activities for the entire family. The natural rolling hills of the bluegrass provide many excellent world class golf courses just 5 minutes from the Duncan House. In addition, horse farm tours and horse racing are popular pastimes with visitors to the area. The prestigious Keeneland Race Track is known in horse racing as the premier track in the United States and The Red Mile is said to be the fastest harness racing track in the world. Horse racing has made Kentucky world famous.Central Kentucky was settled early in America's history and has a rich heritage including many early historic homes and Civil War sites. In fact, the Duncan House is not only a comfortable bed and breakfast but is one of the oldest brick homes in Kentucky and is registered with the Kentucky Heritage Commission.
